After reading chapter 5, I thought about if belief in one’s ability to do a task could really help you in the real world. In the book it talked about military veterans and all their responsibilities and tasks when they were younger and how they took in that pressure and believing that they could do their task, they came out completing their missions/ goals. In this article that I found that it had an interview with an athlete from the naval academy and now he’s Haiti helping after the terrible earthquake. It basically said that after going through training, school, practice, and a little self confidence and poise, he could accomplish anything no matter what the task was or is.
