Though i agree that it does pose certain security threats, trusted hosts like Gmail and others are vastly more secure than they were years ago. Email has changed with the years with constant security updates. Most business use private email addresses and have very good and trusted internet security and IT departments. I believe it is pretty secure; however, with the internet, one can never be too sure with security.
